While in Birmingham for a wedding, we stayed accross the street from this wine store. I decided to venture over and purchase a nice cab and some prosecco for after the wedding. Upon entering the store, there was no warm greeting from the store owner. No problem, I just began looking at the different varieties of wine he had for sale. There was a very nice collection of wine and all of them were reasonably priced for such a boutique wine shop. Since the store was empty, I began making small talk with the owner. I assured him that his collection was nice and very diverse. I also stated that I really liked the layout of the store. He acknowledged neither comment and ignored me altogether. After this experience, I decided I would rather buy my wine at the grocery store a block away instead of spending a dime at this establishment.

One of the most knowledgable and personable retailers in the business - and I mean nationally not locally!! . Carries hard to find high end wines as well as reasonably priced wines that offer great value as well as drinking pleasure. A "must stop" whenever I am passing through town

This place has the best selection of French wines in Birmingham (especially Bordeaux and Burgundy) but the owner seems to treat everyone like dirt. It used to be where I bought all of my wine, but I just got tired of feeling like I was annoying him by being in the store. In this economy, you'd expect to see better customer service if he wanted to stay in business.
